It was the fifteenth of august nineteen forty seven marked by stark contrast between the hell and heaven a sense of freedom and justice clouded the sight
an illusion took over the separation and traumatic plight
yes we had gained the right to live on our land
but it was divided into two by the white hand
which had its presence so strong and powerful
that the millions of beloved had turned resentful
so much so that fourteenth was the freedom for one side it reached on fifteenth to the latter part of divide
Millions of innocents killed , some survived the day
with men embodying guardian angels the faith lay
still the bias created by white darkness they
kept the heart and soul of two nations away
Unbiased remained the sun and moon changed the season
clouds soon disappeared , illusion took over by reason
Millions were dead, millions were starving
Millions were horrified at the idea of carving
a beautiful place with compassion and peace
with the chisel of blood, riots, rapes and disease
The struggle went on sixty seven years it has been
It is the fifteenth august two thousand and fourteen
the idea of freedom still clouds our sight
an illusion takes over the exploitation and plight
yes we have right to live on our land
with exploitation of women children on one and
tribes, farmers, workers on the other hand
Everyone i see tend to depend upon the economy
which has huge gaps still some people are free
who hold the capital, manipulate and set the price
influencing masses, the same guardian angel they disguise
The sun and moon will again change this season
but it might be too late to introspect to reason
the illusion that we have been living with
will then wake up with the broken myth
of freedom of power of independence
of peace of love of enlightening transcendence
It would be fifteenth of august two thousand forty seven
we would still see a stark contrast between hell and heaven
with realization of loss, guilt might cut us through
we might grieve on that loss of brotherhood too
asking ourselves why politics came before humanity
are we connected through nature or a contract of legality?
If we still don't respond to the wake up call today
we may again feel captivated with those years on replay
and there will be no illusion in front of our sight that day
and sadly we might not be wishing happy independence day.
