SILENCE

Silence once asked me , do you know who are thee

I kept thinking for a while but silence did silence me.

it said to me "look at the sky and the sun shine

do you see the bright rays could they ever be thine?"

"look around and see those trees so tall

can you stand for years without a fall?"

speechless stood i was surprised to see

how this silence had silenced me.

Thinking about the questions it raised

wisdom given by silence i praised

answering them set me free

in these questions i found me

i spoke up and the silence was broken

thanked it for how it has woken

me up and all around i see

the sun , the sky and that inspiring tree

for i never knew the art of standing tall

to grow the roots in darkness so i do not fall

Looking at sun and the brightness of day

i discerned that burning was the only way

to enlighten the world and spread light

I answered silence with all my might

yes those rays will always be mine

for i reflect em through my spirit of grine

then i stopped and smiled with glee

for the silence was silenced by me.
